ESPN FC’s Mark Ogden, Julien Laurens and Alejandro Moreno react to Lionel Messi telling Barcelona he wants to leave the club. Laurens believes Messi has been vocal about saying Josep Bartomeu is the problem for Barca and feels the player could be looking to stay if the club lets Bartomeu go. Moreno says Messi has voiced his concerns about Barcelona’s problems for a long time, but the club has not paid attention until the 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Ogden thinks Manchester City are happy to “ride the wave” of Messi rumors, but feel the player will ultimately end up going back to Barca.
